all the corporation’s men

gone are the days when a corporation’s giants stood in public image as Gods of industrialized world.it is hard to find Carnegie,Rockefeller,Harriman,Mellon,Guggenheim,Ford among the big corporations with exception of tech firms like Microsoft or Goggle. The men who now head the great corporations are unknown. Not for a generation have people outside Detroit and the automobile industry known the name of the current head of General Motors. The men who now run the large corporations own no appreciable share of the enterprise. They are selected not by stockholders ,but in the common sense of Board of Directors.

tycoons and titans at the apex of a new social order of world markets

the problem of today’s millionaires is unlike Andrew Carnegie or Cornelius Vanderbilt, that they have no income, their problem is not how to make money, but how to spend it with falling prices of oil and commodities and futures rising with gold hikes.the great new American religion had a fat dollar sign during the boom of 90’s but in the first decade of 21st century, the dollar has become cheaper than a cola drink.Social darwinism of 20th century America has become a problem for the global world order as to distibution of wealth with waning social class distinction. The world respects a rich scoundrel more than it does a failed millionaire.
